Our Loreto little ones had a delightful time today, spreading Easter cheer with an exciting egg hunt! Their laughter and joy filled the air as they searched for colorful eggs, surrounded by loving friends and family.
We had a special visitor at St. Benilde School today! Local author Alex McConduit engaged our students with a reading of his books, a trumpet performance, and an inspiring talk about his life as a writer. Our future authors were surely inspired!
4th grader Dean W. stepped into the role of principal for the day. His day was filled with exciting responsibilities, including assisting with the car line, supervising recess, cruising around the campus on the Duck Mobile scooter, lending a hand in the office with Mrs. Suzzan, and enjoying a delicious lunch from Raising Canes.
Our 3rd graders had a blast celebrating St. Joseph's Day at a special Italian Luncheon, lovingly put together by the St. Benilde Grandparents Club. In addition to enjoying the delicious food, they also had a great time learning about St. Joseph and his life, which added a meaningful layer to their celebration.
On St. Joseph's Day, our Pre-K4 students got together for a special event called "Donuts with Dads" to celebrate the feast of Jesus's foster father. It was a sweet and memorable day for everyone involved!
Meet Lillian M., St. Benilde School's nominee for the 23-24 Statewide Student of the Year competition! Each year, every elementary school is allowed to nominate one 5th grader as the Student of the Year for their respective school. We are honored by Lillian's remarkable representation of St. Benilde in this year's competition!
Congratulations to our remarkable St. Benilde Spellers for their outstanding performance at the New Orleans Spelling Bee hosted at Dillard University this past Saturday. SBS students RJ, Lillian, Vanessa, and Jayden demonstrated exceptional skill and determination as they competed against over 100 students from 4th to 8th grade across the New Orleans area. Our very own 4th Grader Jayden Y. achieved an impressive top 6 finish out of more than 150 participants. We are incredibly proud of all our St. Benilde Spellers for their dedication and achievement!
A big congratulations to our SBS Quiz Bowl Team. They did a great job representing our school at the annual Brother Martin High School Quiz Bowl competition on Saturday! We are proud of you!
