Safe Environment

St. Benilde School takes very seriously the commitment to provide a safe environment for all God’s people.  For this reason and in obedience to the charter of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, every adult (person 18 years or older) whether on staff or serving as a volunteer in ANY ministry who has ongoing contact (more than once) with students or will be chaperoning students (such as a field trip) at St. Benilde School MUST complete a Safe Environment Training Session and have a current background check.  Parents who are in need of completing a background check in order to chaperone a field trip will be charged the cost of the background check (in most instances, the cost is $19). The cost will be added/charged to the family’s FACTS account. If the cost of the background check is a burden to your family, please contact a member of the school’s administrative team for financial assistance.

If you do not receive the training, then you will not be able to volunteer or work with youth until the training has been completed.

Any parent volunteer who has ongoing contact with minors – must complete the following steps:

2. Please email Ms.Dawn Perrier at [email protected] after you have completed both the online background check and completed the safe environment training.
