Today our Director of Advancement & Admissions, Mrs. Micki Andry, turned over her title to Pre-K2 Student Hailey E. and 6th Grader Amelie S. as a reward from Boosterthon! From reading to a class, helping out in Benny's Boutique, to touring with prospective families, they did it all. They said they had the best day ever!!
Congratulations to St. Benilde School's talented cast and crew on a spectacular performance of 'The Little Mermaid Jr'. Special thanks to Ms. Shane and all of the dedicated parent volunteers for their tireless efforts in bringing this magical production to life!
Congratulations to Abby M. and Alice P. for representing St. Benilde at the New Orleans Chapter of The Links, Incorporated Spelling Bee at Dillard University. Abby and Alice competed against over 100 4th-8th grade students from the New Orleans area. Alice made it through 4 rounds and Abby made it to the final 5 students. We are so proud of Abby and Alice!
Meet Luke K., St. Benilde School's nominee for the 22-23 Statewide Student of the Year competition! Each year, every elementary school is allowed to nominate one 5th grader as the Student of the Year for their respective school. We are honored by Luke's remarkable representation of St. Benilde in this year's competition!
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing students, parents, volunteers, donors, and sponsors for making the St. Benilde School's Shamrock'N Roll Fun Run a huge success! Your support and generosity truly made a difference and helped meet our goal of $36,000 through donations from our fun run and a few private pledges to resurface our playground. We couldn't have done it without each and every one of you. ☘️
This past weekend, nine of our St. Benilde School 7th graders participated in the Archbishop Rummel High School Academic Rally. There were 15 schools with up to 10 students from each school participating in the event. Our students represented St. Benilde wonderfully.
We are so proud of 6th Grader Robert H. who was recently given the Archdiocesan Altar Server of the Year award for St. Benilde Parish. He was one of 80 altar servers to gather with Archbishop Gregory Aymond for a special Mass and award ceremony. Robert serves faithfully at the 9:00 AM Sunday Mass, our St. Benilde School Masses, and various special liturgies. We are proud of the young man he is and the example he continues to set for his peers.
Our student council recently sponsored an “orange dress down day" for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society raising $657.22! Thank you so much to all of our students for their generosity and for contributing to the mission of finding a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma.
